Dilwara Begum is a freelance visual artist who facilitates and manages arts workshops and projects whilst working with arts organisations, community groups and in the education sector.
 
Dilwara works with people of all age groups and cultural backgrounds, in different settings, to provide participants with positive and creative experiences.

Dilwara has a keen interest in promoting and developing creative thinking and learning.
 
Dilwara works with mixed media, photography, text and textiles to explore and express. She uses an organic approach to all her work that allows flexibility to develop, challenge, reflect and excel.
 

Dilwara has worked on number of successful projects including:

  • Working in partnership with teachers to explore creative methods of teaching the national curriculum using visual arts to engage and enhance pupils learning;
  • Exploring and delivering cross curriculum projects;
  • Family learning projects:
    • opportunity to engage and enable parents to work and connect with their children using visual arts;
    • facilitating projects that engage parents to experience arts and give them a better understanding of creative learning and development;
    • linking the community and the school through visual arts projects.
  • Cultural, faith and heritage based projects that explore ones identity and open the mind to experience, understand and respect similarities and differences, while participating in the arts.
